Cape’s Northern Gulf operations are proud to have been awarded a five-year surface preparation and coating services contract by The Bahrain Petroleum Company B.S.C (“BAPCO”) worth $18 million. Cape has further secured an $8 million, three-year extension of an insulation contract with BAPCO.
Cape will provide surface preparation and coating services on storage tanks and in process units, in marine locations and other areas operated by BAPCO. BAPCO is wholly owned by the Government of Bahrain and owns a 250,000 barrel-a-day refinery, storage facilities for more than 14 million barrels, a marketing terminal, and a marine terminal for its petroleum products.
Michael Dismore, Operations Director for Cape, Northern Gulf, commented: “Cape can deliver a first class, safe and cost effective service that, together with the capability of our integrated local and expat workforce, positions us as a leader in the provision of non-mechanical services, not just in Bahrain but also further a field in the Northern Gulf.”
