Lamprell, a leading provider of specialised engineering services to the onshore and offshore oil & gas and renewables industry, is pleased to announce that Mr John Kennedy has been appointed to the Board of Directors of the Company as non-executive Chairman with immediate effect.
John Kennedy, a highly experienced engineer, has spent most of his executive career in the oil field services sector. He started his career in Schlumberger and then moved to Halliburton where he ultimately held the role of Executive Vice President. From 2003 to 2011 John held the position of Executive Chairman of Wellstream Holdings Plc, a FTSE 250 plc, until its successful acquisition by GE. In addition, he holds a number of Non-Executive roles in large and small, private and listed companies, including CRH Plc.
Brian Fredrick resigned as a director of the Company with effect from 14 June 2012. The Company would like to thank Brian for the significant contribution that he has made since he joined the Board in January 2009.
Commenting on the changes Nigel McCue, CEO, Lamprell, said: "John brings to the Board a wealth of experience drawn from many years in the sector at an important time for the Company.
