"Gas storage wells at Serajeh UGS are ready for full inauguration" ICOFC managing director was quoted as saying.
Mehdi Fakour said 9 wells at Serajeh underground gas storage site are ready to receive, inject and withdraw natural gas and whenever needed, surplus gas consumption of the country could be stored at the reservoir.
He added that the wells are designed to store 1.5 billion cubic meters of gas in the summer and withdraw 4.5 million cubic meters a day during the cold season.
Fakour expressed satisfaction with ICOFC gas production and said last winter gas production from the company hit 313 million cubic meters per day and the output is set to rise this year.
Alluding to the inauguration of several development plans in the company in upcoming months he said once the projects are commissioned, oil and gas production of the company would remarkably increase.
