Lummus Technology awarded a contract by Ibn Rushd, a SABIC affiliate, for the license and basic engineering of the proprietary CATOFIN® technology utilizing Süd-Chemie's latest CATOFIN catalyst. With a capacity of 650,000 metric tons per annum, the plant will be the largest single line propane dehydrogenation facility in the world. The plant will be located in Yanbu, Saudi Arabia and is scheduled for start-up in 2011.
