EvroSeverNeft won the open competitive tender of the Subsurface Management Department for the north-west Federal District for carrying out geological survey and natural gas and condensate production at Koroviskoe Subsurface Area, including Koroviskoe gas condensate field. This field is a part of a Naryan-Mar group of gas condensate fields situated to the North of Pechora Bay.
According to the structure and size, these reserves fall into the category of average ones. Hydrocarbon reserves of Koroviskoe field that is itemized in the balance sheet of the State Reserves Committee of the RF as of 01.01.2008 comes to:
- 40,845 billion cubic m of C1 category and 0,266 billion cubic m of C2 category natural gas;
- 1 347/ 996 thousand t of C1 category and 8 / 6 thousand t of C2 category condensate (geological/recoverable).
According to the Feasibility Study and Proposals for the Koroviskoye field development offered by the "EvroSeverNeft" Company gas and condensate production is planned for the year 2014. Planned gas production level will amount to 1,5 billion cubic m/year, condensate - 50 thousand t/year. Raw gas-condensate mixture will be transferred through a multiphase pipeline to Kumzhinskoe field, where the hydrocarbons will be sold for subsequent mixing with the Kumzhinskoe field gas-condensate mixture. It is assumed that gas will be processed at the integrated mining and chemical plant planned for construction at the settlement Indiga (NAD) within the framework of the Kumzhinskoe field development project.
The strategy offered for the Koroviskoe field development will provide for involving State Gas Reserves into industrial and stock turnover, eliminating effects of human impact on natural environment, settling social and economic questions, removing energy deficit in the district.
Installment of the one-time payment for the Koroviskoe lease amounted to 152 million rubles.
Ecological situation at the Koroviskoe field is complicated by the consequences of the human impact produced by geological exploration crews during seventies of the last century. Due to the fact that in 1985 a State nature reserve “Nenetsky" was organized, which includes the territory of the Koroviskoe field; there are certain limitations to business management. As a result of this all works in the reserve territory will be carried out in full conformity with the reserve's regulations. "EvroSeverNeft" Company plans to spend about 200 million rubles for natural landscape restoration and additional environmental actions.
