Waste management is an important part of the urban infrastructure as it ensures the protection of the environment and of human health. The impact of waste management on the environment has been widely recognized in the kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Amongst all GCC nations, Saudi Arabia leads the pack with generating hazardous medical waste weighing more than 80 tons everyday. In case of municipal solid waste, around 15 million tons is generated in the country each year which is expected to reach 30 million tons per year by 2033.

The 3rd Annual Kingdom Waste Management and Recycling conference will provide for a premier platform, where top industry leaders, government functionaries and key stakeholders will come together to engage in a constructive dialogue on sustainable waste management and treatment. The conference will feature panel discussions, round table discussions and case studies.
The conference will feature a mix of both public and corporate organizations such as Ministry of works, Municipal affairs and Urban planning, Kingdom of Bahrain - Ministry of Municipality and Rural Affairs – KSA, Saudi Aramco, Modon, Supreme Council for Environment – Kingdom of Bahrain, Arab Urban Development Institute – KSA & Petroleb – Lebanon amongst other.
