TNK-BP has received the prestigious international GetEnergy Awards prize for the greatest contribution to staff training and development, which is awarded each year to a company in the oil & gas industry. TNK-BP received the award at the GetEnergy Global 2012 conference in London, which was attended by training organizations and oil & gas companies from around the world.
The forum participants - over 200 managers and training directors from oil & gas companies such as Shell, BP, ConocoPhillips, Chevron and Lukoil, and also international training providers, including NExT (Schlumberger), IFG, IHRDC and SPE – highly commended TNK-BP’s system for developing competencies in key technical disciplines. Following a vote, TNK-BP came top in one of the four prize categories. In 2010, the prize was won by Total, and in 2011, by Saudi Aramco.
Andrey Yanovsky, TNK-BP’s Vice President, HR and Organizational Development, stressed: “Receiving this award is an important indication that our staff training and development programmes comply with high international standards. People are TNK-BP’s main priority and their professional development is a key requirement for effectively addressing the strategic tasks facing the Company.”
