Petrotrin Mopping up Oil from Trinidad Beaches

Petrotrin has completed the clean-up of oil deposits found on beaches along the Southwestern Peninsula.

On 2016 August 03 and 04, the Company commenced clean-up activities at Mosquito Creek and along beaches in La Brea, Vessigny, Clifton Hill/ Guapo, and Cedros after confirming reports of oil sightings in these areas.

While Petrotrin officials have completed clean-up operations, the Company continues to monitor the shoreline on a daily basis and to liaise with all stakeholders as part of its response efforts in keeping with its commitment to ensure safe and reliable operations.
