Conference Connection and Emirates National Oil Company (ENOC) have confirmed that the 25th Annual Middle East Petroleum & Gas Conference (MPGC) will kick off on 30 April 2017 in Dubai, UAE. The three-day event will be held as part of a week-long focus on the global oil and gas markets called “MPGC Week 2017.”

After 25 years, MPGC remains the region’s longest running annual oil and gas conference, an iconic brand and a hallmark of excellence in thought leadership. MPGC 2017 is held under the Patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. The official opening will be graced by His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Energy, President of the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority, Chairman & Chief Executive of Emirates Group and co-chaired by H.E. Saif Al Falasi, Group Chief Executive Officer of ENOC and Dr Fereidun Fesharaki, Chairman of FGE. Mr Nizar Al-Adsani, CEO of Kuwait Petroleum Corporation will deliver Keynote Address. In addition Mr Colin Parfitt, President, Supply & Trading of Chevron was recently confirmed as keynote speaker. Other oil industry stalwarts confirmed include Dr Sun Xiansheng, Secretary-General of the Riyadh-based International Energy Forum and Dr Spencer Dale, Group Chief Economist of BP plc.

The event will see a convergence of the global oil market’s leading NOCs, IOCs, Traders, Refiners, Petrochemical, Storage, Financial Institutions and Technology companies, in a confluence of dialogue, debate and business interactions at the highest level as the global and regional upstream and downstream oil and gas markets re-emerge from the recent turbulence.

MPGC 2017 discussions will focus on the global and Middle East oil and gas markets under the theme “Path to an Oil Market Recovery & Reaching a Sustainable Price” focussing on the recovery and rebalancing of the crude markets, high refining margins, supply and price prospects in the short and medium term with the re-entry of Iranian and Canadian production and the potential for a Middle East benchmark. MPGC speakers will also address the trends in LNG spot and contract prices, the wave of imports by DUSUP and KPC, with ADNOC as a new entrant in the LNG markets.

Despite the turbulence, opportunities are still abound for the oil and gas markets and MPGC 2017 is expected to critique the new and ongoing strategies for the global oil and gas markets.

MPGC 2017 is the anchor event of the Middle East Petroleum & Gas Week (MPGC Week), an established oil and gas platform for knowledge sharing and networking which will convene from 29 April to 4 May 2017. MPGC Week 2017 will bring together seven optional and synergistic conferences, executive briefings, and global workshops, running back-to-back in one location in one week for optimal learning and networking opportunities. More than 650 participants from 50 countries are expected to attend the week’s activities. All MPGC Week events are organized by The Conference Connection Inc. in partnerships and with strategic alliances with key industry groups.

The organisers commented “MPGC and MPGC Week will return to Dubai in 2017 coinciding with its 25th Anniversary, working with ENOC once again as hosts, to bring together leading personalities in the oil and gas products markets for dialogue, discussion and networking. MPGC Week 2017 will deliver both an exceptional intellectual platform, showcase synergistic stakeholder relationships across the supply chain of oil and gas industry verticals and on-going opportunities for dialogue and interaction. We welcome all key stakeholders, including national oil and gas company hosts and their partners, the crude/petroleum product and LNG trading community, the supply and service sector and others who support the event as speakers, sponsors, exhibitors and participants from 50 countries and which delivers a diversity of key interests and abundant opportunities for both knowledge sharing and premium networking.”
