FPSO P-68 Arrives in Santos Basin for Integration

Jurong Shipyard, in Aracruz (ES), received the hull of the P-68 platform yesterday, the third unit in the series of replicates that will meet the oil production demands of the Santos Basin pre-salt. The platform, the FPSO (floating production, storage and transfer of oil and gas) , has daily processing capacity of 150,000 barrels of oil and six million cubic meters of gas, can store up to 1.6 million Barrels of oil and will act in depth of water of 2.2 thousand meters.

The integration basically comprises the installation on the hull and interconnection of all other modules and platform equipment, which are being manufactured in other construction sites and yards. The hull, which was built at the Rio Grande dockyard in Rio Grande do Sul, weighs 52,000 tons, is 288 meters long, 54 meters wide and 31.5 meters high (from the bottom of the tanks to the main deck) . After the integration, the unit will be transported to the production field in the Santos Basin, in Sao Paulo coast .
