NISOC has envisioned a plan to bring rate of flared gases to less than 2%, announced company’s Production Manager.

“company’s short term plan in line with reducing gas pollution across Ahvaz #2 and #3 production units includes controlling gas quality sent to flares, boosting accessibility conditions to machineries as well as reducing crude oil production extracted from these units in case of obtaining permission from Petroleum Ministry ,” reiterated Abdolreza Dabiri.

“In the medium - term NISOC equips Ahvaz #2 and # 3 production units with no flaring systems and upgrades gas collecting equipment,” he noted.

Commenting on executive operations of second phase of Amak project, Dabiri added, this project aims to boost pressure of gases extracted from Karoun and sending them to Razi Petrochemical complex.

Second phase of Amak project is now in pre-commissioning stage and according to recent estimates will be inaugurated very soon, Concluded Dabri.

As the largest oil producer, NISOC output accounts for 80% of Iran’s domestic crude production.
