Iraq Relations with Turkey Will Be Developed Positively

Mr. Jabbar A. Allibi the minster of oil expected a fast development in the bilateral relations between Iraq and Turkey during the next period in the oil & energy sector.

Mr. Allibi said during his discussions with the Turkish minister of energy Birat Al-Bairaq on the sidelines of the Turkish prime minister`s visit Bin Ali Yeldirem and his entourage to Baghdad.

Mr. Allibi described the relations with Turkey as positive and good and said that they agreed on a continuous agreement between the two parties via opening a hot line between the offices of the two ministers in order to fix the common concern and mutual cooperation issues as soon as possible. He said also that they discussed the case of resuming the oil exports through Kirkuk- Nineveh- Ceyhan pipeline after the liberation of Nineveh governorate in addition to the rehabilitation of the pipeline network in there.

Mr. Allibi said also that Turkey aims to expand their association in the oil & energy sector and the participation in the projects of rehabilitating the infrastructure. And said also that there are more than (24) Turkish companies works on the development of the oil fields, the infrastructure projects and the technical services Etc…
