Sonatrach Seeks Ways to Maximize Efficiency & Performance at NAPEC 2017Source: www.gulfoilandgas.com 3/2/2017, Location: Africa
Algeria energy giant Sonatrach will be exploring partnerships with international oil service providers at the upcoming North Africa Petroleum Exhibition & Conferences (NAPEC) to help maximize its efficiency and performance. The oil company has seen an expansion in output following years of energy stagnation, helped in part by increased production at existing and new fields through the introduction of new recovery techniques at its fields.
The company is currently working on further enhancing its production capacity and improving its performance to consolidate gains from a boost in production capacity to more than 200 million TOE in October 2016. The firm plans to discuss partnerships with oil service companies at the 7th NAPEC event to be held from 21-24 March, 2017 in Oran, Algeria.
“We recovered our historical hydrocarbon primary production capacity of more than 200 million TOE since October 2016 and thus, thanks to the commissioning of new fields such as BirM’sana, BirSbaa, Garet El Befinet, HassiMoumene, among others,” says Amine Mazouzi, CEO of Sonatrach.
“We will be attending NAPEC to share our partnership experience and projects development throughout the hydrocarbon chain. We will be interested in listening to others’ experience and will pay close attention to the latest technical and technological developments that will be presented in terms of maximizing production, performance improvement, operational excellence and facilities maintenance and integrity. And finally, we call up all those involved, directly or indirectly, in our industry to join us in this important event.
The 2017 edition of NAPEC is an ideal platform to explore partnerships and meet with major national oil companies (NOCs) such as Algeria’s Sonatrach, Libya’s National Oil Corporation (NOC), Egypt’s EGAS and Tunisia’s ETAP, apart from international oil Companies (IOCs) such as Repsol, and major service companies. The event will also be attended by representatives of regional energy ministries and regulatory organisations such as Algeria’s ALNAFT.
The region’s most influential energy trade event will also discuss how developments in technology and innovation, and the evolving energy supply mix are leading international and national oil companies to rethink how they operate.
The trade exhibition at NAPEC will showcase products, services and technologies in the upstream, midstream and downstream sectors.
NAPEC will be held at the Le Meridien Oran Hotel and Convention Centre from 21-24 March 2017.
