The main non-OPEC oil producers in the Middle East Ė Oman, Bahrain, Syria and Yemen Ė are estimated to have produced 1.28 mb/d in 2016, unchanged from the last MOMR. Preliminary data analysis indicates that growth of 20 tb/d in Oman has been offset by output declines in Yemen. Oil output in Bahrain and Syria was steady. Hence, oil production in the non-OPEC Middle East shows minor growth of 10 tb/d in 2016, but this is anticipated to flip to a contraction of 50 tb/d in 2017, to average 1.23 mb/d. This comes mainly from an anticipated 40-tb/d decrease in Oman and 20 tb/d in Bahrain. Others are estimated to remain unchanged.
