With the arrival of the main components of the wind turbines to the port of Comodoro Rivadavia, the construction of our first wind farm at the Manantiales Behr field in the province of Chubut is progressing.

This project will require an investment of approximately 200 million dollars and is the first step of YPF in renewable energy, a key aspect in its vision of being an integrated energy company.

In two ships, which arrived in these weeks to the port of Comodoro Rivadavia, came the rotor blades of about 55 meters in length, the towers with a total height of 84 meters and generators.

The turbines were developed by Vestas, the largest manufacturer of wind turbines in the world, which has the experience, knowledge and technology needed for the weather conditions of the Patagonian region of our country. The Manantiales Behr deposit is located in one of the areas with the highest winds in Argentina and presents the ideal conditions for the development of a wind farm of this type.

In parallel with the arrival of the equipment, we work to condition the area and perform the civil work necessary for the installation of wind turbines.

The new park will have a total area of 6,000 square meters and will have 30 wind turbines, a 132KV line and two transforming substations.

In a first stage will deliver 50 MW of power, which will allow to supply part of the consumption of the company in our deposits and refineries. In a second stage, it will generate up to 100MW, a consumption similar to the one that today has the city of Comodoro Rivadavia.

The wind farm represents a safe and renewable source of energy, which does not produce emissions into the atmosphere or generate waste. It saves fuel and reduces costs, as well as diversify the energy matrix and mitigate climate change.

The energy generated by the Behr Manantiales wind plant represents 16% of the company's electricity demand in the Wholesale Electricity Market. The medium-term objective is to ensure that all of YPF's electricity demand comes from renewable sources, which will make a great contribution to the country's sustainability.
