Area CN-V (Cuenca Neuquina V)
Rio Grande Oeste 1 exploration well was successfully tested 300 bopd gross. GeoPark constructed an early production facility to begin production in a long-term test during the Q4 of 2017.

Anze CBM Project
Greka Drilling has been awarded two new drilling contracts with PetroChina Huabei Oilfield in addition to the one currently in progress. These two drilling contracts are to be deployed in PetroChina's CBM (coal bed methane) Blocks - Fanzhuang and Anze and are estimated to have an aggregate value of at least US$2m. The contract for the Anze Block is for two years with a scope of at least 10 directional wells to be drilled on two multi well pads.

Area CN-V (Cuenca Neuquina V)
GeoPark announced the discovery of a new oil field in the CN-V block The Rio Grande Oeste 1 exploration well, operated by GeoPark, was drilled and completed to a total depth of 5,500 feet targeting the Grupo Neuquen formation, where fifteen different potential reservoir sands were identified, with a potential net pay of 400 feet. Preliminary logging information indicated hydrocarbons in the upper, middle and lower zones. The complete testing program is still underway. Wintershall are currently evaluating subsequent activities in the CN-V block, including a development plan for the Rio Grande Oeste oil field.

Block 61 - Khazzan and Makarem Gas Fields Development
Oman will start operating a plant to process gas from the Khazzan gas field early September 2017.

Block 61 - Khazzan and Makarem Gas Fields Development
Five firms – Bechtel, Jacobs Engineering and KBR, all of the US, the UK’s Amec Foster Wheeler and Australia’s WorleyParsons – were prequalified to bid by the end of April 2017 for the PMC contract covering phase two of the estimated US$16 billion Khazzan tight gas project in Block 61.

Block VMM-2
Mono Capuchino 1 exploration well was spud on 17 December 2016, reaching a total depth before experiencing mechanical difficulties that required the well to be sidetracked. The Mono Capuchino 1 ST reached a total depth, within the La Luna formation on 22 February 2017. The well encountered approximately 103 feet of net oil pay within the Tertiary Basal Lisama sandstone reservoir. The well will be tied into the permanent production facilities located at Mono Arana and brought on full time production within the next 60 days.

Block 61 - Khazzan and Makarem Gas Fields Development
The amendment to the Oman Block 61 exploration and production sharing agreement (EPSA) announced in 2016 was ratified with the issue of Royal Decree 14/2017 by His Majesty the Sultan on March 19, 2017, extending the licence area of the block and enables further development of the gas reserves in the area. The newly extended area, which adjoins Khazzan to the southwest, will henceforth be known as ‘Ghazeer’. It adds approximately 1,000km2 to the block, bringing the total Block 61 size to 3,950 sq km.
