China Bioenergy Technology and Investment Summit 2010

China is the world's fastest growing market for bioenergy technologies. With huge reserves of readily available waste feedstocks, China is in the midst of a fundamental shift in how it powers its rapidly expanding economy. By the end of 2009, the capacity of newly-built bioenergy facilities will have surpassed the government's 2010 target of 5.5GW. By 2020, China aims to expand this production to 30GW, requiring major investments in advanced foreign technologies.
