Aim to be a responsible Project Engineer/Electrical Engineer to drive the assigned project (e.g. Oil and Gas, Petrochemicals, fertilizer and Refinery Projects) for successful completion without incurring deviation in schedule, cost, man hours etc.
An Electrical Engineer cum Project Engineer having more than 16 years of rich experience in Project/Electrical engineering and in handling various interfaces in Oil & Gas, Refinery, Fertilizer & Petrochemical Projects Co-ordination. Key positions and major responsibilities includes:
•Having generic knowledge of PETRONAS, GASCO, Shell, EIL etc. engineering specifications.
•Strong Analytical, Interpersonal & Technical Skills. Engineering ability to learn quickly.
•Coordination with various departments such as Process, Piping, Electrical, Civil, Static Equipment, Rotary, Instrumentation, PMC, Clients and Suppliers to resolve the various project / engineering issues & for expediting the engineering work/equipment deliveries.
•Creation of project work environment, supported by leadership on the project, which fosters openness, trust, communication, teamwork, empowerment, innovation & satisfaction.
•Hands on Experience in SPR (Smart Plant Review) & Navis works Jet streams v 5.2 for 3D Model review.
•Deputation to Turkmenistan (Galkynash Gas field development project) site for installation, testing, pre-commissioning and commissioning activities for Electrical Heat Tracing work.
•Deputation to Malaysia (Asean Bintulu Fertiliser) site for 6 months for installation, testing, pre-commissioning and commissioning activities for electrical.
•Deputation to construction site at GACL, Gujarat for installation, testing and commissioning activities.
•Hands on experience for FEED, Detail engineering and procurement support, Preparation of scope of work and technical specifications, Development of Conceptual drawings, Proposal Works, Cost Estimation, man hour estimation, Inter Discipline Coordination, Interface with engineering centers, Review of vendor design and drawing packages, site construction support, commissioning support. Conversant with usage of software packages for design engineering using Microsoft office, ETAP etc.
•Handled major electrical items i.e. – Automation systems like ENMS (SCMS), IPCS, MV switchgear, LV switchgear, LV Busducts, Power and distribution transformers, AC & DC UPS, Hazardous area DB, MV and LV cables, LV Variable Speed drives, all electrical bulk items.
•Extensive experience in using the latest electrical system design software tools & methodologies such as ETAP.

•Identification and evaluation of issues & events that may constitute an addition/deletion of project scope/cost/schedule.
•Cost saving of @ 7 Million USD done, by giving alternate design suggestions in power cable usage, cable tray steel loadings, civil foundation optimisations etc matters
•Basic engineering of electrical system right from power generation (@100MW), power/load distribution, allocation of various substations strategically located in plant, overall cable routing plan.
•Substation building sizing, cable tray arrangement in substation cable cellar etc.
•Development of electrical control system architecture and Preparation of technical specifications for electrical automation systems like Electrical Network Monitoring System (ENMS) and Integrated Protection & Control System (IPCS). ENMS at upper level of the system architecture having interface at power plant, various downstream substations, Integrated Control & Safety System (ICSS-plant DCS). IPCS which is localized substation based electrical control and monitoring systems, communicating to more than One local DCS systems and to upper level Master ENMS system.
•Development of standard technical specifications and standard data sheets for electrical equipment such as LV/HV switchgears, LV/HV Busducts, LV/HV Cables etc
