PT Pertamina EP Cepu (PEPC) Zone 12, Eastern Indonesia Regional, Pertamina Upstream Subholding, as operator of the Jambaran-Tiung Biru (JTB) Gas Field has again recorded an important milestone for the JTB Field by achieving full capacity production of 192 million standard cubic feet per day (MMSCFD) steadily over a long period of time.

PT Pertamina (Persero) Vice President Corporate Communication Fadjar Djoko Santoso said that Pertamina is trying to increase oil and gas production to carry out its role in maintaining national energy security.

"Pertamina continues to encourage the achievement of production targets in the upstream sector, including gas. We appreciate PEPC's achievements, especially Zone 12, which has succeeded in achieving full capacity production," said Fadjar.

General Manager of PEPC Zone 12, Mefredi, said that this achievement was the result of the hard work of workers running the Gas Processing Facility (GPF) or JTB Field plant continuously for 7 x 24 hours to meet the full capacity gas sales production target of 192 MMSCFD in order to meet East Java's gas needs. and Central Java. The full capacity gas production achieved on Wednesday (22/5) has exceeded the JTB Project's contractual requirements to carry out a Gas Processing Facility (GPF) performance test for 3 x 24 hours.

"We are very proud to coincide with the spirit of National Awakening, JTB is offering full capacity production of 192 million MMSCFD. This is the best effort of the nation's children for a Golden Indonesia. "JTB products which are 100% gas are also our contribution to achieving the global agenda for energy transition efforts towards clean energy," said Mefredi.

PEPC's strategic role is to ensure the smooth delivery of gas from the JTB Field according to the buyer's nomination via the Gresik-Semarang transmission pipeline to meet energy needs in the East Java and Central Java regions. JTB gas is currently distributed and absorbed by PGN, PLN, PKG, Industry and for household gas tanks.

As is known, the JTB Field has been operating and releasing first gas since September 20 2022. At the start of production, 70 MMSCFD of gas was flowing, it gradually increased and several times had the opportunity to produce 192 MMSCFD of gas, but for a short duration due to limited gas demand in East Java - Central Java. This important achievement is of course accompanied by increased performance, maintaining safe operations with reliable production facilities, and always paying attention to the environment and surrounding communities.

Mefredi emphasized that in the future PEPC is committed to maintaining production achievements at the JTB Field, namely by maintaining aspects of the reliability and integrity of the production facility or Gas Processing Facility (GPF) in the operation phase so that it operates 100 percent. "Apart from that, it is important to always implement the HSSE aspect in company operations and make efforts to optimize JTB gas absorption according to the buyer's or PJBG's commitment," he explained.

PEPC JTB's commitment to supporting HSSE aspects is demonstrated, among other things, by achieving safe working hours of more than 65.9 million working hours.

Pertamina, as a leading company in the energy transition sector, is committed to supporting the 2060 Net Zero Emission target by continuing to encourage programs that have a direct impact on the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). All of these efforts are in line with the implementation of Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) in all Pertamina business lines and operations.
