Urban Logistics (LON: SHED), the only London listed REIT offering a focused exposure to single-let, last mile/last touch logistics real estate, is pleased to announce the appointment of Cherine Aboulzelof as an Independent Non-Executive Director of the Company, and a member of the Audit Committee, Management Engagement Committee and Nomination Committee effective from 1 July 2024.

Cherine Aboulzelof is an experienced, senior real estate executive with 19 years of real estate investment tenure, having enjoyed a successful career within the industry. Cherine brings significant expertise to the Board, having managed real estate funds, assets and portfolios for several large real estate investment managers. Prior to her real estate career she spent 8 years in investment banking at blue chip investment banks. Cherine's direct involvement in originating, negotiating and closing investments makes her uniquely qualified to join the Board of Urban Logistics, as it continues to drive forward its strategy of enhancing sustainable earnings and shareholder returns.

Cherine is currently global co-Head of BGO Strategic Capital Partners (part of BGO, a global real estate investment firm with $84 bn of assets under management), which provides equity capital solutions globally to real estate sponsors. She previously held the position of Managing Director at The Carlyle Group from 2017 to 2021 and Partner at 90 North Real Estate Partners, the real estate investment firm from 2013 to 2017.

Cherine sits on the Board of the Women in Safe Homes Fund, a for-profit social impact fund providing rental accommodation to vulnerable women and children across the United Kingdom, as well as G.R.I Women Leading Real Estate Advisory Board, which promotes Europe GRI Women's activities.

Nigel Rich, Chairman of Urban Logistics commented:

"On behalf of the Board, I welcome Cherine as a Non-Executive Director of Urban Logistics. Her extensive experience across real estate and investment banking adds complementary expertise to the Board and I have no doubt that her knowledge will greatly benefit the Company as it drives forward its growth ambitions. We very much look forward to Cherine joining the Board and to working with her."
