Sino-Korea Petrochemical's newly built 2.8 million tons/year catalytic cracking unit was successfully started up, marking a new step for Sino-Korea Petrochemical to eliminate backward production capacity, accelerate "oil conversion" and green and low-carbon transformation and development.
The 2.8 million tons/year catalytic cracking unit was designed by the Engineering Construction Company and constructed by the Fifth Construction Company. It is the main unit of the Sino-Korea Petrochemical Refining Structure Adjustment Project. Compared with the old unit, this unit is larger in scale and adopts the MIP-CGP technology of the Petrochemical Research Institute. It has the characteristics of high slag blending, low emissions, and high production of chemical raw materials. The production raw materials of the unit can be blended with 20% residual oil, which can effectively increase the cracking depth, improve the processing efficiency of heavy raw oil, reduce the diesel-gasoline ratio, and reduce the output of petroleum coke. After the unit is put into production, the self-sufficiency rate of ethylene light raw materials will be greatly improved, the ethylene raw material structure will be optimized, the overall competitiveness of refining and chemical integration and the economic benefits of the enterprise will be improved, and the foundation for increasing the production of high-end chemical products will be laid.
