The Shuang 5-Ping 9 well in the Shuanghe block of Henan Oilfield, which was under the integrated construction of directional drilling, logging and geological guidance by the North China Measurement and Control of Jingwei Company, achieved high production after being put into production, with a peak daily oil output of 24 tons, marking a new path for the development of old oil fields.
After nearly 50 years of development, Shuanghe Block is facing problems such as deterioration of resource quality, prominent contradictions in reserve replacement, and weak foundation for stable production. Shuang 5-Ping 9 Well is a thin-layer horizontal well deployed in the non-main layer of Shuanghe Block. Its oil sand body is thin, scattered, small and poor, and conventional drilling technology is difficult to achieve effective utilization of reserves. Drawing on past experience, Party A proposed to use thin-layer long horizontal wells to improve the injection and production well network and further improve the degree of reserve utilization.
To ensure the quality of construction, North China Measurement and Control established a project team to provide technical support at the well throughout the process. The technical staff had in-depth discussions with the drilling and research institute design personnel many times, analyzed and compared the data of on-site logging, while drilling and actual drilling profiles, dynamically and accurately calculated the target depth, and timely controlled and adjusted the trajectory to achieve a deep integration of scientific research, production, and geological engineering.
By improving the injection and production well network in the underground area and accurately capturing the hard-to-use reserves of old oil fields, new vitality can be given to old oil fields, providing new ideas and methods for subsequent large-scale development and production increases.
