The Presidente Bernardes Refinery (RPBC), in Cubatão (SP), registered a record, in the second quarter of this year, in the production of S-10 diesel. 990 thousand m³ were produced, surpassing the previous mark of 966 thousand m³ in the third quarter of 2023. The figure is also higher than that produced in the same period last year.

The production of S10 diesel at RPBC increased the supply of the product to the market due to the high reliability of the refinery's industrial plant and the logistics system for production flow, which allowed the unit to work with higher loads, at very efficient levels. Another decisive action was the adequate management of the operational routine, with control of the most impactful variables and prioritization of resources.

For Petrobras' Director of Industrial Processes and Products, William França, “the record at RPBC attests to the company's commitment to investing in refining and meeting commercial commitments with reliability, operational availability, valuing people and profitability of units, always ensuring the safety of operations”.

Logistics actions increased flow to the Santos Terminal
To achieve the record at RPBC, a series of logistics initiatives were implemented in partnership with Transpetro, which made it possible to improve the flow of S-10 diesel through the Santos Terminal. The result was a historic mark in the movement of the product since 2018, reaching 386.3 thousand m³ in the second quarter.

Among the initiatives, Petrobras increased the batch size for S-10 diesel cargo on ships. In other words, by optimizing the terminal's tanking and existing infrastructure, the efficiency of outflow operations was increased, improving pumping and minimizing losses due to derivative interfaces.

According to Petrobras’ Director of Logistics, Sales and Markets, Claudio Schlosser, increasing the flow of S-10 diesel to the Santos Terminal meets a commercial logic that brings gains for Petrobras and the country: “It is very important to use the available flow margin and reach the market with the largest possible volume. In this way, we offer this additional opportunity to our customers.”
