Leading subsea controls specialist J+S Subsea has been named a finalist in the prestigious Scottish Green Energy Supply Chain Awards 2024.

The Aberdeenshire-headquartered company is recognised in the Sustainable Supplier category, highlighting its commitment to environmentally friendly practices within the renewable energy sector.

The Scottish Green Energy Supply Chain Awards, organised by Scottish Renewables, celebrate organisations and individuals at the forefront of Scotland’s clean energy ambitions.

J+S Subsea’s nomination recognises their dedication to developing sustainable solutions for subsea operations in the burgeoning offshore wind industry.

“Being shortlisted in Scotland’s biggest celebration of the renewable energy supply chain is a tremendous honour for J+S Subsea,” said managing director Phil Reid.

“We made a clear strategic decision to diversify into the renewables sector, based on our existing capability in the sector.

“Sustainability is a core value that drives our every decision and this recognition validates our efforts and motivates us to continue pushing the boundaries.”

This latest recognition follows a string of successes for the Kintore-based company in 2024.

they claimed the Sustainability Award at the Decom Mission awards last year
Celebrating the industry

The Scottish Green Energy Supply Chain Awards, headline sponsored by TotalEnergies, will see 44 businesses, organisations and projects contest prizes across nine categories at a prestigious awards ceremony in Aberdeen on August 22.

J+S Subsea is nominated in the Sustainable Supplier category alongside ECO Hire, Peterson Energy Logistics and RSE.

The awards, organised by trade body Scottish Renewables, celebrate the people, businesses and organisations at the heart of the industry who make possible the deployment of billion-pound renewable energy projects.

Emma Harrick, Head of Energy Transition and Supply Chain at Scottish Renewables, said: “Celebrating the people and organisations who are transferring their skills to help shape the future of our industry in Scotland is incredibly important to Scottish Renewables.

“As we stand at the forefront of a vibrant renewable energy future, much of the success we have achieved so far can be credited to the diverse mix of supply chain companies delivering the specialist products and services needed to achieve our green energy ambitions.

“The Scottish Green Energy Supply Chain Awards are here to champion Scotland’s growing supplier network. It is clear from the shortlist – this year’s event is going to be a showcase of the innovation, skills and engineering know-how that the supply chain is bringing to the wind, solar, marine, hydro and hydrogen projects being delivered across the globe, and I look forward to joining them in celebrating these achievements in August.”
