Tikun Olam Hellas, the first pharmaceutical cannabis company in Greece, proudly announces the completion of a new photovoltaic system installation at its EU-GMP certified, state-of-the-art factory in Corinth. This initiative, part of the company’s corporate responsibility and sustainability efforts, was achieved in collaboration with Greenvolt Next and Recom Repower, whose contributions were crucial to the project’s success.

Tikun Olam Hellas continues to invest in innovative solutions, remaining committed to an environmentally friendly energy model. This promotes the company’s sustainability goals and reduces its carbon footprint. The new photovoltaic system has a capacity of 662.2 kWp, ensuring Tikun Olam Hellas produces 886,100 kWh of green energy annually. This is expected to cover 35% of the factory’s energy needs in an eco-friendly manner by utilizing the inexhaustible source of solar energy. The project is part of Tikun Olam Hellas’ strategic commitment to promoting sustainable development.

Tikun Olam Hellas chose the Solar EPC – Risk Free solution from Greenvolt Next, enabling the reduction of its environmental footprint and energy costs. Greenvolt Next and Recom Repower handled all processes for the photovoltaic system’s licensing, study, design, construction, and management.

The photovoltaic installation includes 939 Recom Lion HJT 705Wp pv modules and 6 Recom Zeus 110kW three-phase inverters. The Lion 705Wp pv modules, with their optimized HJT technology, maximize energy collection in low-light conditions, even on cloudy days. Additionally, the MPPT algorithm in the Zeus 110kW inverters provides complete control of the photovoltaic generator.

With the completion of the photovoltaic installation, Tikun Olam Hellas will contribute to the reduction of CO2 emissions by 346 tons annually, significantly decreasing its environmental footprint, while adhering to its sustainability principles across all operations.

Mr. Dimitris Giannopoulos, Chief Operating Officer of Tikun Olam Hellas, stated: “The implementation of the photovoltaic system installation, in collaboration with Greenvolt Next and Recom Repower, is an important step toward realizing Tikun Olam Hellas’ vision for sustainable development. This initiative demonstrates our commitment to reducing our environmental footprint and adopting green practices. I want to sincerely thank Greenvolt Next and Recom Repower for their contribution to this endeavor.”

Mr. Dionysis Anargyros, Commercial Director of Greenvolt Next, commented on the collaboration: “Our collaboration with Tikun Olam Hellas is an excellent example of how partnerships between companies can lead to significant environmental benefits. Tikun Olam Hellas’ dedication to sustainable development and environmental awareness aligns perfectly with our mission to promote renewable energy sources and reduce carbon emissions in the Greek market. We are excited about our partnership and are committed to continuing to support Tikun Olam Hellas and all companies that share our vision for a more sustainable planet.”

Finally, Mr. Limparis Kevorkian, General Manager of Recom Repower, mentioned: “At Recom Repower, we are excited about this excellent collaboration and the implementation of the 662.2 kWp project at Tikun Olam Hellas’ factory in Corinth. This project used Recom Lion HJT 705Wp panels and Recom Zeus 110kW inverters. I want to sincerely thank Tikun Olam Hellas and Greenvolt Next for their trust and the opportunity they gave us to implement a truly unique project, contributing a small part to sustainable development and a better environment for us and our children.”
