From August 7, the port company Niedersachsen Ports will carry out planned dredging work at the pier for liquefied gases (AVG) in the port of Stade-Bützfleth. In order to enable the work now to be carried out, the "Energos Force" will cast off and temporarily take up a waiting position on the Outer Elbe. After the work has been completed, the tank storage vessel will return to its berth at the Elbe port and will be further prepared for commissioning, which is planned for the second half of the year.
These measures are repeated routinely in the port, because berths in the port must have a certain depth so that ships do not touch the bottom and remain mobile even at low tide. The depth of the troughs is based on the size of the ships using the berth.
In 2023, Niedersachsen Ports built the AVG in Stade-Bützfleth on four hectares of water. The berth has a draft of up to 16.4 meters, and the quay is 1.6 kilometers long. The "Energos Force" is 294 meters long and has a storage capacity of 174,000 m3. The regasification capacity is up to 750 MMSCFD.
