Equinor – project follow-up

The Norwegian Ocean Industry Authority (Havtil) has carried out an audit of Equinor and their follow-up of the Eirin project. The audit was conducted on 23 May 2024.

Objective
The objective of the audit was to monitor that the project is being carried out in compliance with the HSE regulations and that, in its project management and follow-up, Equinor is reducing risk and preventing accidents during start-up and operation.

Result
Four improvement points were identified, concerning:

conformity between document register requirements
planning
assessment of consequences of loss of main safety functions after the facility has been evacuated
management of working environment risk

What happens now?
We have asked Equinor to give us their assessment of the improvement points observed by 20 August 2024.
