Oil Minister Opens Gas-processing Unit at East Baghdad Oilfield

The most important thing that came in the speech of the Deputy Prime Minister for Energy Affairs and Minister of Oil, Mr. Hayyan Abdul Ghani: - Praising the national effort represented by the technical and engineering teams in the Central Oil Company for their success in operating and rehabilitating the station after it stopped since 1986 - Foreign companies failed to rehabilitate and operate the station.

- The station invests in gas in an amount of (15) cubic meters "one million standard cubic feet per day"

- Decrease in the amount of associated gas burning, and preserving the environment.

- The national grid is supplied with the above amount to generate more than (100) megawatts.

- The ministry is keen to invest gas from all oil fields.

- The celebration was attended by the undersecretaries and a number of advisors and officials in the oil companies and departments of the ministry's center.
