SOCAR's Heydar Aliyev Oil Refinery (NEZ) laboratory has obtained international ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation for Euro-5 diesel product in accordance with EN 590 test parameters.
After the accreditation audit carried out by the Turkish Accreditation Center (TÜRKAK), on August 20, 2024, the head of the institution, Banu Müderrisoglu, presented the relevant certificates to Emil Alkhasli, the CEO of "SOCAR Downstream Management" LLC, and Volkan Senol, the company's Director of Laboratories.
The main advantage of accreditation is the international recognition of the test results of the refinery laboratory. Obtaining international accreditation by the International Laboratory Accreditation Agency (ILAC) recognizes easier access to export markets and ensures reliable product quality.
ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation is the most reliable indicator of compliance with international standards and technical competence, but also includes aspects of impartiality and confidentiality.
Currently, work is being carried out to complete the accreditation of the plant's laboratory from the Azerbaijan Accreditation Center (AZAK).
