J+S Subsea is delighted to announce its selection as a finalist for the prestigious “Supply Chain” category at the OEUK Offshore Decommissioning Conference. The award, sponsored by the North Sea Transition Authority (NSTA), recognises companies that have made a significant impact on the offshore supply chain, particularly in decommissioning.

This recognition provides a unique opportunity for J+S Subsea to showcase its innovative Legacy Locker initiative, which aligns with the company’s Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) policy. The Legacy Locker is a pioneering approach to the reuse and repurposing of subsea equipment, reducing environmental impact whilst promoting sustainable practices in the offshore sector.

The Legacy Locker allows companies to extend the life cycle of valuable subsea assets, reducing waste and the need for new equipment. This initiative plays a key role in J+S Subsea’s ESG strategy by minimising the carbon footprint associated with the decommissioning process, contributing to industry-wide sustainability goals.

As the offshore industry transitions to a low-carbon future, solutions like the Legacy Locker are crucial for meeting ESG targets. We’re proud to lead the way in demonstrating how innovation and sustainability can go hand-in-hand in the subsea sector.

The OEUK Offshore Decommissioning Conference, set to take place in St Andrews, will bring together industry leaders to discuss advancements in offshore decommissioning and celebrate excellence across the sector. The winner of the Supply Chain Award will be announced during the event, and J+S Subsea is honoured to be recognised for its efforts in driving sustainability and efficiency in the industry.

Lucinda Craig, Business Development Director at J+S Subsea, commented on the announcement: “We are absolutely delighted to be shortlisted as a finalist for the OEUK Supply Chain Award. This nomination highlights not only our commitment to excellence but also the importance of our Legacy Locker initiative. By focusing on the reuse and repurposing of subsea equipment, we are contributing to a more sustainable future whilst supporting our clients with cost-effective and environmentally responsible solutions.”
