General Pump Company (“GPC”), the number one provider of utility water well and pump services for Southern California’s most critical water infrastructure is excited to announce a merger with Water Well Solutions (“WWS”) of Wisconsin and Illinois.

Founded in 2000 by a team of water well industry professionals, WWS has brought a technology and engineering-driven approach to well and pump maintenance for utilities and industrial water users throughout the greater Midwest region. WWS, like GPC, is the number one firm in their region and known for taking a holistic view on the water well operations for their clients to ensure the efficient, uninterrupted operation of critical water infrastructure. The transaction will help both companies scale through the sharing of knowledge, resources, ideas, and talent to better deliver value to their long-term customers. Both companies will continue to operate under their existing names, brands, and locations.

“For nearly a quarter of a century, Water Well Solutions has stood by utilities, cities, and manufacturers to keep their water flowing,” said WWS founder and President, Mike Judkins. “From the start we’ve proudly innovated and brought new ideas and technologies to the industry, and we’re excited to continue the tradition of innovation with General Pump Company. Both companies share the same ethos of long-term, data-driven service with the best equipment and dedicated, experienced field technicians in the industry.”

The partnership was led by Sylmar Group, a water-focused company, making multi-decade investments in leading water service and technology businesses, whose backing will support GPC and WWS’s continued expansion nationwide.

“Serendipity brought these two great companies together at the exact right moment, when General Pump was ready to expand beyond our current region and Water Well Solutions had hit a growth inflection point that required additional support,” said Peter Brooks, CEO of GPC and Sylmar Group. “We’re excited to continue the legacy of exceptional quality, service, and innovation to all of our customers while investing in the terrific team of water professionals who make it all happen.”

Both General Pump Company and Water Well Solutions are also proud to announce key additions to their leadership teams. Earlier this summer, GPC welcomed industry leader Tim Oman as its new President, succeeding long-time President & Director of Engineering, Mike Bodart, who will continue on as the Director of Engineering. Tim brings a wealth of experience to GPC from his leadership roles at Layne. A proven, results-driven well and pump professional, Tim has a strong track record in operations management, territory expansion, and revenue growth. Tim joins other key leaders at GPC including Jim Bruneio, the General Manager of GPC’s Camarillo branch, Michael Garcia VP of Project Management, and Daniel Pichardo VP of Engineering.

Water Well Solutions is also excited to announce the hiring of Brian Snelten as its new General Manager. Brian, a former President of the National Groundwater Association and former Area Manager of Layne’s Aurora, Illinois office, will join WWS leaders Mike Judkins and Todd Kerry to build on the company’s record-breaking performance. As a fourth-generation well and pump professional and a licensed Professional Geologist, Brian brings decades of experience in water well and pump services, along with a proven track record of increasing sales and leadership responsibilities.

“I’m excited to join a great company at a critical time and look forward to supporting this team with my knowledge, experience, and vision for growth in our industry,” said Brian Snelten, WWS’s new General Manager. Tim Oman, President of GPC, added, “The partnership between GPC and WWS will help set a new standard for safe, reliable, and expert water well and pump services. The addition of Brian Snelten, a highly respected leader in the industry, further strengthens our team’s expertise. Together, we are assembling a winning team, ready to overcome today’s challenges and drive long-term growth for both organizations.”
