Macro Offshore – Haven – AoC audit – maintenance management

The Norwegian Ocean Industry Authority (Havtil) has carried out an audit of the maintenance management system at Macro Offshore (the company) and the Haven facility.
The audit was conducted from 15 to 30 August 2024 and formed part of our processing of Macro Offshore’s application for an Acknowledgment of Compliance (AoC) for Haven.
Objective
The objective of the audit was to verify that Macro Offshore’s maintenance management system operates in compliance with the regulatory requirements.
Result
The audit identified five non-conformities. These were:
• Identification of equipment
• Technical, operational and organisational barriers
• Consequence classification
• Maintenance programme
• Follow-up
We also observed one factor that we have chosen to categorise as an improvement point. This concerned:
• Safety-clearance of activities
What happens now?
We have asked Macro Offshore to report to us by 1 October 2024 on how the non-conformities will be addressed.
