Kempower, one of the leading providers of fast-charging technology for electric vehicles, is providing the charging infrastructure for Stadtreinigung Hamburg (SRH) so that the fleet can be charged quickly. A total of 16 charging points were installed, distributed across eight double-arm Kempower Satellites, which provide a charging capacity of 160 kW per arm.

Switching to electric vehicles requires far more than just the purchase of the vehicles themselves – a reliable and intelligent charging infrastructure is crucial for the smooth operation of the fleet. In close cooperation with Kempower, Stadtreinigung Hamburg has developed a customised solution.

Eight double-arm Kempower Satellites were installed in Hamburg, providing a charging capacity of 160 kW per arm. The cloud-based charging management system Kempower ChargEye is also used. This system enables SRH to track the charging status in real time and dynamically adjust the power distribution. This ensures that the vehicles are optimally charged.

This innovative infrastructure enables SRH to charge its electric fleet efficiently and reliably. The charging infrastructure thus makes a decisive contribution to SRH’s important goal of being completely climate-neutral by 2035.

Thomas Maas, responsible for SRH’s own vehicle fleet, explains:
The charging infrastructure is an integral part of our electrification strategy. By integrating Kempower technology, we can precisely control the charging processes and ensure that our fleet is always ready for use.”

Philipp Oppolzer, Regional Business Development Director, Central Europe, adds: “We are delighted to have realised this project for SRH together with our project planning and distribution partner GP JOULE CONNECT. As a technology partner, we are also proud to make an important contribution to SRH’s sustainability goals. Our products are the answer to the challenges that Stadtreinigung Hamburg has faced so far in charging its fleet.”
