XCharge Europe GmbH (XCharge Europe), a pioneer provider of high-power and battery-integrated charging solutions for electric vehicles, is strengthening its presence in the European market by opening a new test facility at its Hamburg headquarters. This strategic expansion underlines the company's ambition to drive forward the development of electric mobility in Germany and further strengthen its ties with European customers and partners.
More and more electric vehicles are currently driving on German roads, and the need for a reliable charging infrastructure is increasing every day. Moreover, scenarios such as charging stations, commercial centers, e-buses, and fleets with different power limits, charging demands, and use cases demand flexible solutions for specific needs. XCharge Europe is responding to those challenges by expanding its R&D capabilities with a new test lab in Germany while enhancing the importance of its European headquarters. The test lab offers comprehensive possibilities for testing the entire XCharge Europe’s product portfolio, including the C6, C7 and Net Zero Series charging stations.
"With the opening of our test facility in Hamburg, we are keeping our promise to bring more value creation to Europe," says Albina Iljasov, Head of Europe at XCharge Europe. "It is particularly important to us to better understand our European customers and to be able to respond to their needs. This measure will allow us to work even more closely with them and develop tailor-made solutions for the European market."
Comprehensive testing capabilities for future-proof charging solutions
One focus of the test lab is to ensure compatibility with the latest electric vehicle models, taking into account e-trucks and e-buses in addition to passenger cars. Customers will have the unique opportunity to experience the charging stations live on-site and test them together with XCharge Europe. An experienced team of experts is always on hand to advise and answer all questions. "We want to offer our customers a real 'hands-on' experience," adds Iljasov. "They can see, feel, and experience for themselves how our charging stations work and how easy they are to operate." In addition, the lab enables integration with various back-end systems, offers customization options for software, and supports future product development through market research.
XCharge Europe is bringing an important part of its development even closer to the European market with this initiative. The Hamburg test facility complements the test lab in Madrid, which opened in 2023. The company also plans to gradually expand its R&D activities in Hamburg. This measure not only strengthens the company's innovative strength but also enhances Hamburg as a business location in the field of e-mobility.
The test facility in Hamburg officially went into operation in October 2024. This reinforces XCharge's dedication to European e-mobility, underscoring its commitment to local innovation and customer-centric solutions.
