FIAA, the International Bus and Coach Trade Fair, taking place from October 22-25, is a perfect opportunity to take a look at the Bus of the Year 2025. This year in Madrid, Solaris is showcasing the articulated Urbino 18 hydrogen bus, a model that received this prestigious award just one month ago. Solaris representatives invite you to visit them at Pavilion 8, stand 8B07.
On October 22, the FIAA trade fair (Feria Internacional del Autobús y del Autocar), one of the key industry events in Europe, began. This year, Solaris is presenting the Urbino 18 hydrogen, a bus that recently won the highly-prized title of Bus of the Year 2025.
The Urbino 18 hydrogen, displayed at the stand, is a model that was produced for the German operator Rebus Regionalbus Rostock, based in Güstrow. The order placed by Rebus Regionalbus Rostock in April last year for the delivery of 52 hydrogen buses – 47 of which are 12-meter models and 5 articulated models – is one of the largest orders the manufacturer has received for hydrogen fuel cell vehicles. Solaris' experience in zero-emission technology includes the delivery of over 3,000 battery and hydrogen vehicles to more than 200 cities across Europe.
In Madrid, on the day prior to the start of the trade fair, a ceremony for the prestigious Sustainable Bus Award was held. This year, the main award in the Urban category went to the Solaris Urbino 12 electric with modular drive. This electric bus features flexible configuration, optimized battery capacity, increased passenger space, and an exceptional range of 600 km on a single charge (based on the eSORT 2 test).
