A working meeting between Alexey Miller, Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee, and Roman Sklyar, First Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan, took place at St. Petersburg International Gas Forum 2024.
The parties reviewed matters pertaining to the development of their long-term cooperation in the gas sector. Special attention was paid to interaction in gas supplies, transmission and processing.

St. Petersburg International Gas Forum 2024 is being held at the EXPOFORUM Convention and Exhibition Centre on October 8–11.
October 2023 saw the start of Russian natural gas supplies to the consumers of the Republic of Uzbekistan across the Republic of Kazakhstan. The gas supplies are arranged in reverse flow via a dedicated route that uses the Central Asia – Center gas trunkline system.
In November 2023, Gazprom and the Government of Kazakhstan signed the Agreement of Strategic Cooperation.
