As of October 13, the Jilin Oilfield Angge 550 MW wind power project has accumulatively generated a total of 9 million kWh of electricity, all of which has been delivered to thousands of households through the grid.
The Jilin Oilfield Angge 550 MW wind power project is the largest single-capacity grid-connected wind power project for both CNPC and Jilin Province. Located in the hinterland of the Anggelai Grassland in Qianguo County, Songyuan City, Jilin Province, the project spans an area of 173 square kilometers. It comprises 88 wind turbines, each with a capacity of 6.25 MW. Upon full operation, it is expected to generate 1.63 billion kWh of green electricity annually, equivalent to nearly 500,000 tons of coal equivalent, reducing CO2 emissions by nearly 1.3 million tons per year.
As a clean and renewable energy source, wind power offers significant advantages over traditional thermal power. It plays an important role in improving air quality and addressing climate change. The development of wind power promotes the optimization and upgrading of the energy mix, and thus contributes to sustainable socioeconomic development.
