Fred. Olsen Seawind and Hafslund seek trailblazing solutions from emerging innovators through our NOW Accelerator programme.

Is your startup or scaleup ready to transform the offshore wind industry?

Fred. Olsen Seawind and Hafslund, leaders in offshore wind energy, are excited to invite startups and scaleups worldwide to join an exclusive innovation challenge. This is your chance to present groundbreaking ideas that can revolutionize offshore wind farm maintenance, reducing operational costs and enhancing safety for workers in extreme marine environments.

The Challenge
Maintaining offshore wind farms is complex and costly, requiring frequent inspections and maintenance of vital equipment. Currently, many of these tasks depend heavily on manual intervention, which brings high costs and safety risks. We’re looking for scalable technologies that can enhance maintenance efficiency, minimize human intervention, and deliver long-term safety and reliability for offshore wind operations.

Why Should Startups and Scaleups Apply?
With offshore wind capacity expected to expand globally, the need for efficient, scalable, and safe maintenance solutions is urgent. This challenge provides a unique opportunity to collaborate directly with Fred. Olsen Seawind and Hafslund, helping you bring your innovative technology to the forefront of the offshore wind industry and setting new standards in cost-efficiency and safety.

Who’s Eligible?
The challenge is open to startups and scaleups that can deliver impactful maintenance solutions for the offshore wind sector. We seek emerging innovators with technologies capable of handling the rugged conditions of offshore wind farms, located up to 150 kilometers offshore, where extreme weather and challenging logistics are the norm.

Prizes and Opportunities
Winning startups and scaleups will get the opportunity to collaborate closely with Fred. Olsen Seawind and Hafslund. The winners will engage in monthly meetings with experts from both companies during the first six months post-award, working to develop and refine the solution further with potential for piloting in upcoming offshore wind projects.
