Anglo American's recent study on developing a green hydrogen valley in Chile's central region has yielded promising results.
The study indicates that implementing green hydrogen on a large scale could displace approximately 3,000 kilotons of CO2 annually, equivalent to removing 850,000 cars from circulation.
Additionally, the initiative is projected to generate around 10,000 jobs and attract an initial investment of at least US$3.5 billion, underscoring its potential to benefit both local communities and the environment significantly.
United H2 Limited (UHL), in partnership with Green H2 Latam (GHL), plans to become leaders in shaping Latin America’s energy future.
Through this partnership, UHL and GHL will lead a variety of hydrogen production projects, including waste-to-energy, green hydrogen, and natural hydrogen initiatives. They will also drive regional hydrogen demand by introducing hydrogen applications in transportation, waste management, and other sectors, bringing hydrogen-powered trucks, buses, vans, and waste collection vehicles to Latin America.
