The Norwegian Ocean Industry Authority (Havtil) has carried out an audit of Gassco's follow-up of maintenance, surface programme, inspection and ageing at Nyhamna, including major accident supervision.
The audit was conducted on 10 and 11 September 2024.
Objective
The objective of the audit was to ensure that Gassco and Nyhamna have a coherent approach to the follow-up of surface maintenance, corrosion during insulation, inspection and ageing, and that the implementation of maintenance for the Nyhamna onshore facilities complies with the companys requirements and the regulations.
The audit is part of the annual follow-up of major accident establishments as described in the Major Accident Regulations. The coordination group for major accident supervision under the Major Accident Regulations has an annual topic for this follow-up. For 2024, this topic is maintenance and ageing, which will form part of this audit.
Result
In the audit of Nyhamna, no observations were made that are characterised as non-conformities, but we found two conditions categorised as improvement points. These concerned:
