The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Oil for Gas Affairs, Mr. Izzat Saber Ismail, confirmed that the investment rates for associated gas in the North Gas Company reached (410) million standard cubic feet, and this comes in accordance with the government's directives and the directives of the Deputy Prime Minister for Energy Affairs and Minister of Oil, Mr. Hayan Abdul-Ghani.
He pointed out that maintaining production and increasing its rates requires many procedures, including the annual programmed maintenance of oil and gas facilities. This came during his direct field supervision of the programmed maintenance stages of the North Gas Company in Kirkuk Governorate.
The Undersecretary explained that the company's production lines are carrying out investment and energy production operations estimated at (410) cubic meters of associated gas, the largest part of this energy is the production of dry gas in an amount of (380) cubic meters, which the ministry supplies to the national electricity grid, and industrial facilities in the governorate and neighboring cities, in addition to producing and equipping factories and citizens with an amount of (1100 tons) of liquefied gas to cover the needs of the governorate and nearby governorates, as fuel for vehicles to which the liquefied gas system has been added, or for cooking purposes, indicating that maintenance work on the production facilities in the North Gas Company began on October 25th for a month, and will end before the end of this month, and includes maintenance of production line (1000) with continued work on production line (2000). Mr. Undersecretary praised the national effort represented by the technical and engineering teams and workers in the North Gas Company in completing the scheduled maintenance operations according to the planned timings, and depending on the capabilities and self-resources.
For his part, the General Manager of the Northern Gas Company, Mr. Ahmed Abdul Majeed, stressed the keenness of the company’s employees to complete the maintenance project in record time and shorten the planned period, by continuing to work around the clock.
