Mermaid ends ‘record’ vessel-based UK North Sea decom campaign

Mermaid Subsea Services (UK) Ltd has successfully wrapped up what is believed to be the largest vessel-based UK North Sea decommissioning campaign in history.
The project spanned two years and involved the plugging and abandonment of 21 wells in the northern and central North Sea, it said November 11.
Mermaid entered the UK in as recently as 2020. It said this achievement was “further proof that there is space in the market for a new player delivering innovative solutions.”
