Maritime CleanTech is proud to announce the appointments of our dedicated team members, Tore Boge and Marte Jensen, to influential positions within the Waterborne Technology Platform. The European collaborative initiative is an important driver for innovation in the maritime sector.

Tore Boge has been named Pillar Leader of the Electrification team. In this role, he will lead efforts to shape future Horizon Europe calls under the Zero Emission Waterborne Transport Partnership (ZEWT) to advance electrification within the maritime sector. His work will be crucial in further positioning electrification as a funding priority, aligning with our commitment to drive cleaner energy solutions.

In addition, Marte Jensen has been appointed as a board member in the Implementation Review Group, a significant steering committee within the Waterborne Technology Platform that guides input into upcoming funding calls, next framework programs, and project outcome evaluation. This group plays a vital role in connecting European funding with national and regional initiatives.

Spearheading Electrification and Funding Initiatives
These appointments further empower Maritime CleanTech’s voice in securing funding opportunities for our members and steering initiatives to support cleaner maritime solutions. This is instrumental in our mission to support our green maritime partners as they innovate and implement sustainable technologies.

“Our commitment to a sustainable maritime sector is further strengthened by Tore and Marte’s new roles. They will be instrumental in guiding policy and funding priorities to support cleaner technologies, positioning Maritime CleanTech and our members at the forefront of European innovation”, says CEO of Maritime CleanTech, Ada Jakobsen.

European collaboration
Waterborne is the European research and innovation platform for waterborne industries. It was set up as an industry-oriented Technology Platform to establish a continuous dialogue between all waterborne stakeholders, such as classification societies, shipbuilders, shipowners, maritime equipment manufacturers, infrastructure and service providers, universities or research institutes, and with the EU Institutions, including Member States.

This announcement reinforces Maritime CleanTech’s dedication to supporting a cleaner, more sustainable maritime future for Europe.
