Olkiluoto 3 Returns to Electricity Production

The Olkiluoto 3 (OL3) plant unit was synchronized back to the national power grid today, Thursday, 21 November, at 3:21 PM.

Electricity production at the Olkiluoto 3 plant unit was interrupted on the afternoon of Sunday, 17 November, due to a malfunction in the generator's sealing oil system. The issue has now been resolved, and the plant resumed electricity production today, 20 November. The production interruption lasted 95 hours.

The power upgrade of the plant unit is being carried out gradually, and during this day, electricity production at OL3 will continue at a lower power level of approximately 1,300 MW.
