New Offshore Platform in Red Sea to Daily Produce 2,200 Oil Barrels within 3 Months

Chairman of the General Petroleum Company (GPC) Mohamed Ali said the company succeeded in putting into production the new offshore platform in Red Sea governorate, which is planned to daily produce 2,200 barrels of crude oil in the coming three months.

Ali made the remarks on Friday 29/11/2024, while Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Karim Badawi was inspecting drilling operations carried out by the "MDC4" rig, which is currently drilling the development well "Gharb Well 277" of the General Petroleum Company in Red Sea governorate.

The company's work team told the minister that the well is expected to daily produce 200 crude oil barrels within two weeks after the completion of drilling operations.
