CF Industries Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: CF) today announced that Erik Mayer has been appointed vice president, clean energy solutions. In this role, he will lead the Company’s strategic focus on decarbonization and clean energy in the form of low-carbon ammonia and low-carbon nitrogen products. Mr. Mayer will also be responsible for expanding the CF Industries’ clean energy solutions team and enhancing collaboration across the Company as emerging applications for low-carbon products are identified. He will report to Christopher D. Bohn, executive vice president and chief operating officer, CF Industries Holdings, Inc.
“Erik’s leadership and expertise have been instrumental over the last four years as CF Industries has leveraged our existing capabilities to strengthen our position at the forefront of low-carbon ammonia and nitrogen production,” said Bohn. “We believe there are substantial opportunities for these products both in our base business and clean energy.”
Mr. Mayer has been with CF Industries for 20 years, most recently as vice president, clean ammonia growth. In addition to roles leading the Company’s initial clean energy strategic focus, he previously served as vice president, product management, ammonia and held roles of increasing responsibility at CF Industries’ Donaldsonville, Louisiana, facility.
