Buss Ports will be the service provider at its wind turbine marshalling port Buss Terminal Eemshaven for the construction of Ecowende’s Hollandse Kust West offshore wind farm. Buss Ports, through its Eemshaven terminal and its subsidiary Buss Offshore Solutions, is providing support for the logistics and construction phases of the Ecowende project.

In its 18th project on site, Buss Terminal Eemshaven will serve as the wind turbine marshalling port, offering over 200,000 square metres of storage and handling capacity for the components needed to build the wind farm. That involves 52 sets of Vestas V236 turbines, nacelles, blades, and towers, totaling more than 455 individual components and a combined weight of over 100,000 tons.

State-of-the-art facilities, experienced teams, and strong partners
Marc Wegman, Managing Director of Buss Terminal Eemshaven: “Buss Ports has a proven track record as a leading offshore wind logistics partner. With our state-of-the-art facilities, experienced teams, and strong partners like Ecowende, we will continue to support the growth of offshore wind by enabling projects such as Hollandse Kust West.”

Buss Ports has been a key partner for the renewable energy sector for over ten years, managing complex offshore wind projects. Buss Terminal Eemshaven's extensive infrastructure and expertise in securely handling and storing offshore wind turbine components make it an ideal location to host the key logistics for Ecowende’s Hollandse Kust West offshore wind farm.

BUSS Ports: a strong partnership with Ecowende
Buss Ports works closely with Ecowende to develop a highly efficient and effective logistical solution for the Hollandse Kust West project. Folkert Visser, Project Director at Ecowende: “Ecowende is pleased to team up with Buss for the marshalling of its Wind Turbine Generator (WTG) components. The strategic location of the harbour, the spacious facilities which Buss continues to invest in and its experienced team, make Buss a logical fit for Ecowende. Due to its ecological program, there is significant variability across the Ecowende WTG’s. We have confidence that Buss is able to support the need for flexibility that may come with this setup.”
