Gazprom & LUKOIL Sign General Agreement on Strategic Partnership for 2025–2030

A working meeting between Alexey Miller, Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee, and senior executives of LUKOIL took place.

The parties signed the 2025–2030 General Agreement on Strategic Partnership. The existing Agreement between them expires in 2024.

The companies will continue expanding their cooperation in such areas as exploration, production, transportation, and processing of gas, gas condensate and oil; marketing of hydrocarbons and their derivatives; and manufacturing of state-of-the-art products of machine-building industry for the needs of the sector. Under the Agreement, the parties will collaborate on the sci-tech, environmental, social, HR-related and other activities, with the possibility of joint implementation of new projects in the future.

The meeting also addressed the progress of the development and infrastructure development works at the Vaneyvisskoye and Layavozhskoye fields in the Nenets Autonomous Area.

Background
In 2020, Gazprom and LUKOIL signed the Master Agreement on the terms of the development of the Vaneyvisskoye and Layavozhskoye fields located in the Nenets Autonomous Area. In order to implement the project, a joint project company – Layavozhneftegaz – was set up in 2021. Gazprom transferred to it the subsurface use license for the area that includes said fields.
