Southland Industries is excited to announce changes within its leadership team. As part of the company’s strategic growth, the new leadership changes include appointments of two key executives. The new appointments are effective as of January 1, 2025.

Jim Meacham has been named Chief Operating Officer. As COO, Jim oversees all company operations, including the strategic direction of all divisions to advance overall company performance. Jim began his career at Southland over 20 years ago, quickly progressing from Project Engineer to Project Executive, National Division Leader, and Mid-Atlantic Division Leader. Most recently, Jim served as a Regional President, overseeing the Mid-Atlantic, Mountain West, and Philadelphia Divisions. During his tenure at Southland, Jim has worked in multiple regions and has gained extensive experience in project management, engineering, preconstruction, and business development. Additionally, he has consistently driven results on large, complex projects and built strong collaborative relationships across teams and with key industry partners.

Craig Whaley has been named Regional President. As Regional President, Craig oversees all operations of the North Texas, Austin, San Antonio, and Houston Divisions. Craig began his career over 25 years ago, holding various positions, including Director of the Retro-Commissioning Group, Vice President of Integrated Projects, and Vice President of Sales for Service and Construction. Most recently, Craig served as the Senior Vice President/General Manager of the North Texas Division. During his tenure, Craig has driven exponential growth across business lines and helped significantly grow the existing building business.

“By leveraging the expertise of both Jim and Craig, these new leadership appointments provide Southland with multiple opportunities for continued growth while maintaining our commitment to excellence for our clients,” said Ted Lynch, CEO.

With these changes to the leadership team, Southland will continue to provide exceptional full building lifecycle solutions to clients across diverse markets nationwide.
