Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) is co-organising the Dubai International Project Management Forum (DIPMF) alongside the Dubai Roads and Transport Authority (RTA). At the forum, DEWA is showcasing its expertise in implementing pioneering projects to diversify energy sources, including various clean and renewable energy technologies. These efforts align with the Dubai Clean Energy Strategy 2050 and the Dubai Net Zero Carbon Emissions Strategy 2050, which aim to achieve 100% of the Emirate’s energy production capacity from clean energy sources by 2050. The list of DIPMF organisers also includes DP World Group, Emaar Properties, and the Project Management Institute (PMI).

At DEWA’s stand is a model of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park, the largest single-site solar park in the world, based on the Independent Power Producer (IPP) model. It will have a production capacity of more than 5,000MW by 2030 with a total investment of AED 50 billion. The total capacity of the solar energy projects commissioned at the solar park has reached 2,860MW from photovoltaic (PV) panels and concentrated solar power (CSP), with an additional 1,800MW from PV technology under construction. By 2030, about 27% of Dubai's total energy production capacity will be from clean and renewable energy sources, with the solar park set to reduce more than 6.5 million tonnes of carbon emissions annually upon completion.

The Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park includes a Research and Development (R&D) Centre that enhances Dubai’s position as a global hub for research and development in solar power, smart grids, energy efficiency, water and capacity building in these sectors. The centre published 263 Scopus-indexed scientific and research papers in high impact peer-reviewed journals and international scientific conferences, in addition to filing 42 patent applications to protect DEWA’s intellectual property.

The solar park also houses the Sustainability and Innovation Centre, which is a global innovation incubator that contributes to building capacities and competencies in various fields of renewable and clean energy. The Sustainability and Innovation Centre provides visitors with a unique experience to explore the latest innovation in sustainability and clean energy technologies, as well as the most prominent historical inventions and innovation in electricity, the latest developments in renewable and sustainable energy, and DEWA’s key sustainability and renewable energy projects.
